The KEMEA team has led WP2 to provide an overview and status quo assessment of the mechanisms used by multiple stakeholders to prevent, investigate and mitigate THB and CSA/CSE during investigations, compiling and presenting relevant best practices that could be integrated into a Common European Framework governing this field.
In the HEROES project, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC) has developed a two-part course focused on Multidisciplinary Collaboration in Combatting Child Sexual Abuse, Exploitation, and Trafficking. This course, now freely available on ICMEC’s e-learning platform, aims to empower professionals across diverse resource settings—high, medium, and low—with tools to improve their multidisciplinary team (MDT) protocols.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of Connected Kids: A Comprehensive Guide to Ensuring Online Safety and Well-being, a vital resource designed to empower adults in protecting children and young people online. Developed as part of the HEROES FCT Research Project, this guide is brought to you by the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), whose mission is to safeguard vulnerable children from exploitation, sexual abuse, and the risks of going missing.
